Founded in 1895 as a bespoke shoemaker, Berluti now offers a complete range of products, from leather goods to ready-to-wear collections. A long-awaited boutique carrying the full line of items across all categories listed above will open on March 15th (Friday) at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 4th floor, Men's Luxury. In addition to the latest capsule collection by Kris Van Assche, who was appointed Creative Director last year, there will also be exclusive items available only at Isetan Shinjuku to commemorate the opening of the new store.

Kris Van Assche, who breathed new life into the Maison with his rich creativity, unveiled a capsule collection for the Spring/Summer 2019 collection, positioned as a prologue to the full-fledged Autumn/Winter collection. Based on essential basic items for a men's wardrobe, such as bomber jackets, letter jackets, track tops, and bottoms, the collection expresses the future of Berluti from a new perspective while preserving the Maison's traditions.


In particular, the classic "Alessandro," an icon of the Maison, features a thick leather sole and the distinctive patina traditionally applied by hand, presented in two colors, blue and red, that echo the bags. The "Andy" loafer, named after Andy Warhol, has a thick creeper sole. The Berluti original "Scritto" series, which uses 18th-century manuscript motifs, is incorporated into casual wear and bags as graphic prints, with the history cultivated by the Maison itself playing a role in igniting a new beginning.

In addition, the store will offer exclusive items available only at Isetan Shinjuku to commemorate its opening. These include loafers and a briefcase that add a touch of elegance to dressy styles, and sneakers and a tote bag that complement casual looks—a total of four items.

The "Un Jour Mini" briefcase and "Andy" dress shoes are highly popular in the world of formal wear. The subtle calligraphy adds a touch of intellectual luxury, making them reliable companions for business professionals.

The sneakers, named "Playtime," are given a more mature look by being rendered in dark navy. The same goes for the "Toujours Mini" tote bag. They add a touch of chic to your off-duty style.
