Butler's last day

Saturday, December 22nd was the final day for Mr. Shimaji's officially certified battlers.


Shimaji : "Butler has been with me for three years, helping me with all sorts of things. Now I'm graduating and returning to being a regular customer. I'm truly grateful for this friendship!"

The restaurant was a huge success that day, with customers finding out it was Butler's last day! Butler was also very pleased with the overwhelming turnout on his final day.


Shimaji: "Well, 2018 is almost over. Thank you for another great year. Next year, let's aim to become 'stylish yakuza' by experiencing beautiful, delicious, and unusual things!"

Katsuhiko Shimaji is the producer of the Isetan Men's Residence Salon de Shimaji, located on the 8th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as the representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
