We were closed on Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st, as Mr. Shimaji was visiting his hometown in Ichinoseki. This weekend, Saturday, October 27th and Sunday, October 28th, Mr. Matsumoto, our bartender, will be joining us from Ichinoseki to help out along with Mr. Shimaji.

Shimaji: "My butler, Matsumoto Barman, the Koji Yakusho of Ichinoseki, will be joining us again as a helper. I've asked him to come whenever possible when Hiroe, my partner at Salon de Shimaji, is off work. If you want to see Matsumoto's original 'double shake,' please come to Salon de Shimaji."

Katsuhiko Shimaji is the producer of the Isetan Men's Residence Salon de Shimaji, located on the 8th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as the representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
