Joining the collection

Last weekend, Salon de Shimaji hosted a pattern order event for the eyewear brand Nakky Made. Just like the event held in June, many customers came to meet designers Naoki and Tomoko Nakagawa, making it a very lively two days.


Shimaji: "Thank you again for coming all the way from Kobe. I'll be placing another order, so I look forward to it."

Ms. Shimaji placed another order this time, which made Ms. Nakky very happy! It seems to have sparked her creative inspiration.


Shimaji : "I own over 100 pairs of glasses, and I ordered two more this time, so my collection has grown again. I also had Nakky accept another special order. Life is really all about luck, connections, and favoritism."

Katsuhiko Shimaji is the producer of the Isetan Men's Residence Salon de Shimaji, located on the 8th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as the representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
