Thank you to everyone who visited us last weekend despite the scorching heat. Our previous post introducing "Port Ellen" had a huge impact! Many customers came from other regions specifically to purchase "Port Ellen."

Port Ellen, produced at a distillery that is now closed, is an extremely rare whisky that even Mr. Shimaji rarely gets to see. Many Shimaji fans across the country are also single malt enthusiasts, and the person who traveled the furthest this time came all the way from Sapporo! Over the two days of the weekend, many customers ordered Port Ellen, and more than 10 glasses were enjoyed.


Shimaji : "It's not often you get a chance to drink 'Port Ellen' at such a bargain price. Everyone should definitely try it. You can brag about it to single malt fans."

Katsuhiko Shimaji
Producer of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941. After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, he joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
