The new "HOTAI BELT" uses fabric developed specifically for waistbands.

Ohashi: The "Shime Shirazu Elastic-Free Bandage Pants" are a product that embodies customer feedback, but even now, customers still ask me in stores, "Do they really not slip down while you're wearing them?"
Nogi : So, we created the new "HOTAI BELT" as a middle ground between the comfort of a belt without an elastic waistband and the secure feeling of a belt with an elastic waistband.
Ohashi: They're already selling well in stores. People who regularly use bandage underwear are surprised when they pick them up. They say, "This is something new!"

To address the drawbacks of traditional waistbands, such as causing stuffiness and leaving marks, we developed a new high-power bandage fabric as an alternative. We increased the spandex from one strand to three, maintaining the feel of bandage underwear while eliminating the worry of them slipping down.
As Ohashi Nogi intended, it's been well-received, with people saying they "feel like they're actually wearing pants." I also prefer my pants to be sturdy, so wearing these HOTAI BELT, which are breathable and don't get stuffy with sweat, and long pants over them makes for a comfortable work environment.
I think you should wear them however you like. Regarding the bandage pants, there are always customer requests and suggestions for the current lineup. I listen carefully to those requests, and then I cut and paste existing products to create new items that are even slightly more comfortable to wear.
When I talk with Ohashi Nogi, the conversation flows easily with ideas for new products and improvements. What are you currently working on?
I'm working with the pattern maker in charge of the Nogi bandage pants to try and create the "golden ratio" for bandage pants. If we can find the golden ratio, we're sure we can make some really cool pants.

TANDEN, the bandage pants proven effective by professional athletes.

Ohashi : Another product that officially debuted from the bandage pants line is "TANDEN," a bandage pants with a waist belt.
I myself suffer from lower back pain and used to wear a back support belt, but it was stuffy, bulky, and I couldn't wear jeans, which was a problem. The back support belt I was using was a very good product, so I asked the president if I could use his patented power belt for back support belts, and we developed new bandage pants.
Ohashi: When I actually tried them on, they provided good support for my waist without being constricting. Because they compress the lower abdomen, the pants also create a nice silhouette.
Nogi: It might be a little hot right now, but it's very comfortable in winter when the cold makes your lower back ache. We named it "TANDEN" because it firmly presses on the "tanden," the center of the body.

Ohashi : How did you come up with such a unique product?
Nogi: Initially, a trainer from a professional baseball team asked for one pair, and when players saw him wearing them in the locker room, they became popular. The trend spread throughout the professional baseball world, and then it gained recognition in other professional sports fields such as soccer, before it was finally commercialized.
Ohashi : As expected of Nogi-san, who constantly improves products by observing them on-site.
Nogi's products are favored by athletes who require a strong core, as well as Kabuki actors and race car drivers.
I think this would be good not only for athletes like Ohashi , but also for drivers and office workers who spend a lot of time standing or sitting.
This new product is a must-try for anyone who wants to stabilize their posture while working.
Ohashi has been releasing one ambitious new product after another with his bandage pants. What are your plans for future developments?
Nogi: I'd like to work with Isetan on developing products that are mindful of sustainability. I want to rethink the materials and packaging to create pants that are comfortable to wear in this hot Japan, and that are also environmentally friendly.
Ohashi 's sustainable pants are called "Suspan." Let's try them together, with sustainability as our keyword!
