The intense heat continues, with some areas in Tokyo exceeding 40°C. Everyone, please take great care to avoid heatstroke. At Salon de Shimaji, we are offering refreshing, "summer-only" cocktails to help you beat the heat.


Shimaji : "This cocktail is made by mixing Glenmorangie with shikwasa syrup and topping it with soda. My partner came up with it. It's subtly sweet and a refreshing cocktail that's perfect as your first drink on a hot day. Please give it a try."

Glenmorangie is a spirit characterized by its refreshing citrus aroma and flavor. We've paired it with the crisp, summery acidity of shikwasa citrus.


Shimaji: "Here's a summer drink that's different from a spicy highball! This is only available during the summer, so be sure to try it while you can. This is another example of 'the sadness of knowing'."

Our limited-time summer cocktails will be available until the end of August. The shikwasa cocktail, rich in citric acid which is said to be effective in relieving fatigue, is highly recommended for those feeling the effects of summer heat. Please stop by our salon!

Katsuhiko Shimaji
Producer of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941. After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, he joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
