Wiener Blut is a unisex fragrance brand founded in Vienna, Austria in 2009. The brand name is derived from the title of a waltz composed by Johann Strauss II in 1873 and means "Viennese spirit."

"Freudian Wood" is a fragrance inspired by the intellectual movement of fin-de-siècle Vienna, particularly by Sigmund Freud's "The Interpretation of Dreams" (first published in 1899), who is known as the founder of psychoanalysis.
According to Freud, the author of this book, wood represents women, especially women's breasts, which is a hint of the milky and woody scent. The sweet woody notes, combined with the scent of lactones representing breasts and nourishment, evoke the intimate feel of skin. The overall noble impression is created by expensive natural ingredients such as ambergris and sandalwood. The delicate and approachable fragrance, which shows various facets, creates an effortless luxury.

The inspiration for this fragrance also comes from Sigmund Freud's 1919 essay "The Uncanny."
