Neapolitan shirtmaker BORRIELLO is holding its third trunk show at "Laccolta Artigiano (Artisan's Collection)," a unique curated shop located in the International Luxury section on the 4th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Katsumi Yabe, Executive Fashion Editor of the fashion magazine "MEN'S Precious" (published by Shogakukan), interviewed the current owner, Fabio Borriello, about his passion and thoughts on shirtmaking.

BORRIELLO is renowned for its bespoke craftsmanship.

Yabe: First, could you tell us about the history of BORRIELLO ?
Fabio: I was born in 1977. The following year, my mother, Clelia, started a small shirt workshop. At the time, she was making custom-made shirts for customers and doing subcontracting work for important manufacturers. Gradually, the business grew, and my father and other members joined, and we began working for a famous shirt manufacturer in Naples. Currently, our headquarters and workshop are located in the heart of Naples.


What is Fabio Yabe's current role?
Fabio: My main job is sales manager. I'm also involved in production at BORRIELLO , which specializes in bespoke craftsmanship.
Yabe: What is the current size of your factory?
Fabio Factory has just under 50 people, including external contractors, each responsible for a specific part and coordinating the tailoring process.
