Maruyama Coffee, a coffee specialty shop born in Karuizawa, will hold a "Signature Beverage Seminar" on Saturday, June 9th at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 8th floor = Isetan Men's Residence. Applications to participate will be accepted from 10:00 AM on Friday, June 1st at the Isetan Online Store.
"Signature beverages" are creative drinks made using coffee. They are an official event in barista competitions, resulting in the creation of many appealing drinks.
In this seminar, you can enjoy drinks that showcase the charm of siphon coffee, prepared by barista Yoshinobu Nakayama, who has experience as a runner-up in the world championships for siphon coffee. Using multiple siphons, you can enjoy the harmony of aromas between coffee and other ingredients in his ultimate signature beverage.

Founded in 1991 in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, the company pursues high-quality beans and began directly purchasing them from producers in 2001. As a specialist in siphon coffee brewing, he won the Japan Siphonist Championship in 2013 and 2015, and placed second in the World Siphonist Championship in the same year. This May 2018, he achieved an unprecedented third victory at the Japan Siphonist Championship, and as a representative of Japan, he aims for the world number one title!
