Beyond an 8-meter-long tunnel and two glass doors lies a collection of approximately 1,000 types of premium and limited-edition wines. The Vintage Cellar boasts a wide selection of wines from around the world, curated by sommeliers with their discerning tastes. What's particularly noteworthy is the paid tasting service available for wines recommended by the sommeliers.

"Being able to drink a 20,000 yen bottle of wine in an Isetan original glass for 2,000 yen a glass is heaven for wine lovers. I'll definitely be coming here every week from now on (laughs). I've found a great place," said Tsubouchi.



Sommelier Horiuchi says, "We create yearly lists in our vintage cellar. Recently, many people have been giving red wine as a gift for 60th birthday celebrations, and the 1958 vintage is already sold out. It's used for a variety of gifts, from celebrating the founding of a company to giving a 25-year-old bottle to parents on their silver wedding anniversary, or giving a bottle from one's birth year to parents as a wedding gift."
