PEQUIET | The only French manufacture with innovative mechanisms now appears in the men's department!

French watchmaking, which once ceased to exist due to the quartz crisis in the 1970s.
Pequignet, which carries on the tradition of French watchmaking while continuing to forge its own path as France's only in-house manufacturer, is now available at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 8th floor = Isetan Men's Residence. It is featured in the men's watch section.

The Jura region, located on the border between Switzerland and France, is known as the birthplace of the watchmaking industry. However, the watchmaking industry that flourished in this region was severely damaged by the quartz crisis of 1970. French watchmakers also suffered a devastating blow, with most of them disappearing, and the traditional watchmaking industry went into a steady decline.
In 1973, during that era, Pequignet was founded in Morteau, France, by Émile Pequignet.

In 2004, a project was launched to revive the original movement produced in France, which had been discontinued until then. Developed over approximately five years, the movement, later named "Calibre Royal," was a special one with a groundbreaking structure that overturned the power mechanisms of watches used up to that point.

Its distinguishing feature is the world's first new drive system, the "Center Shaft Drive," which, while incorporating a high-torque mainspring, minimizes gear train wobble, misalignment, and stress to the greatest extent possible. This achieves a long power reserve of approximately 88 hours with a single barrel and successfully maintains accuracy for 72 hours.

"Rue Royal Quatre (4) Function"
1,134,000 yen
Case diameter: 42mm, stainless steel, 5 ATM water resistance, automatic movement
Approximately 88-hour power reserve

Within the brand's lineup, models equipped with two functions—time display and power reserve—are called "Deux (2) Functions," while models with the added functions of moon phase and day of the week are called "Quatre (4) Functions," clearly indicated by French numerals according to their functions.
Furthermore, the logo incorporates the lily motif, which was a symbol of the French kingdom from Clovis I in the 5th century until the end of the Louis dynasty, reflecting the manufacturer's strong commitment to reviving the French watch industry.

Furthermore, Pequignet is planning a special event at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building in April. Don't miss this opportunity to check out this independent watch brand that combines beautiful design with high functionality and performance.
