A one-of-a-kind "BYRNE" crafted from four luxurious types of leather.
This is a version of Wild Swans' popular tri-fold wallet, "BYRNE," made with four different types of leather. The main exterior is made from "Stirrup Butt," a highly durable leather produced by Baker Leather Company. It is an extremely thick leather, with an original thickness of 5-6mm, and is rich in oil and wax, making it very strong. The brand usually uses this leather for single-piece belts, but this is the first time it has been used for leather goods. The lower part of the interior card pocket uses calfskin from a French tannery. A small amount was purchased as a sample about 10 years ago and kept as dead stock in the atelier. It has a characteristic that it absorbs cream well, and although it has a matte appearance at first, it develops an elegant sheen as it is used.
Furthermore, crocodile leather was chosen for the second row of card pockets to add elegance and a playful touch. The main interior lining is made of saddle pull-up leather from Belgian company Masuya, which has been embossed to compress the internal fibers of the leather, increasing durability while also adding an elegant appearance.
