Murata: Even if I chose only the things I really wanted to eat, the chocolate alone would cost 10,000 yen (laughs).

 For Valentine's Day, Yamauchi tends to keep the budget lower than for Christmas or birthdays. For his main target, he might spend around 10,000 yen on a gift plus 3,000 to 4,000 yen on chocolate.
Shimada: For me, including the extra item, it comes to around 10,000 yen. So, everyone seems to be aiming for around 10,000 yen.
Ms. Yamauchi and Ms. Murata , have your feelings or perceptions of Valentine's Day changed before and after you got married?


 Before we got married, Murata and I were a bit distant when we exchanged gifts (laughs), but after we registered our marriage, it changed into "events we enjoy together."
Yamauchi: I can't wait to say, "An event we can all enjoy together!"
