UNDERCOVER Spring/Summer 2018 collection, designed by Jun Takahashi, will be available at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 2F = International Creators on Saturday, January 20th. The collection features impactful designs inspired by a diverse range of music labels, and also pays homage to the Japanese underground scene of the 1980s.

Each design plays its own unique harmony.

Inspired by label music of different genres, the collection also pays homage to Japan's underground scene in the 80s. UNDERCOVER 's latest collection is created by the interplay of each design, much like music is born from the layering of individual notes.

The Cream Soda collaboration celebrates the brand's 50th anniversary and is attracting attention.

One of the most noteworthy items in the Spring/Summer 2018 collection is the collaboration with CREAM SODA, a Harajuku-based brand often referred to as the "King of Rock" (scheduled for release in March). Founded in 1967, CREAM SODA is a rock and roll and rockabilly fashion brand and one of the key players in establishing Harajuku fashion culture. Its unique worldview blends seamlessly with UNDERCOVER 's designs.

Furthermore, this season features denim jackets embroidered with lyrics from the British rock band "JOY DIVISION," and coats and tops adorned with graphics inspired by record covers and live merchandise of fictional bands. Various cultures imbued with messages traverse freely across the clothing.

A new world symbolized by oversized and genderless styles

The silhouettes of the items, each imbued with various musical messages, are almost entirely oversized, reflecting the energy they convey. The use of female models further emphasizes volume, while also clearly expressing genderlessness—a distinctive feature of this season's collection.

From the large backpacks that evoke a festival style, to the lightweight nylon coats that protect from the rain, the use of industrial materials such as double mesh, and the styling that showcases layered tops of different lengths, every detail is filled with UNDERCOVER 's playful spirit and challenging spirit.
