Incenzo means "incense," and it was created through a collaboration between Shoyeido, a long-established incense maker in Kyoto (Florence's sister city), and Santa Maria Novella . Shoyeido has been dedicated to making incense since its founding in 1705 (Hoei 2).



Compared to candles, incense doesn't have a strong scent and burns for a short time, making it convenient for quickly changing the air in a room. This Incense Quattro Elementi comes in four scents themed around the essential elements of life: water, air, earth, and fire. The earth scent is apparently the most popular in stores. It looks even more stylish when placed in a holder shaped like the initials of Santa Maria Novella .
