THE YELLOW MONKEY
They began their activities in December 1989 and made their major debut in May 1992. From the beginning of their career, they consistently increased their live concert attendance. From 1998 to 1999, they energetically toured for a year, performing a total of 113 shows and attracting a total of 550,000 people. However, after their performance at Tokyo Dome on January 8, 2001, they went on hiatus. They remained on hiatus until they announced their disbandment in 2004. On January 8, 2016, they announced "THE YELLOW MONKEY SUPER JAPAN TOUR 2016," making a spectacular comeback with a tour of 42 shows and attracting 360,000 people.
The documentary film "Ototoki," which will be released this time, combines footage from their arena tour with testimonies from those involved and past footage. Why have they reunited now? Is it true that Kazuya Yoshii said, "The Yellow Monkey will never break up again"? "Ototoki," a film captured by up-and-coming film director Daisuke Matsunaga, will be released in theaters nationwide from November 11th (Saturday). http://theyellowmonkey-movie.jp
