How to enjoy whiskey in the cold season

Summer is coming to an end, and the days are getting cooler. Please take care of yourselves as it's easy to get sick during this change of season.

Thanks to all of you, Salon de Shimaji has reached its 5th anniversary. Thank you very much. We look forward to your continued support of Salon de Shimaji.
To coincide with our 5th anniversary and the upcoming season, we have started offering Talisker hot whiskey.

Shimaji : "As the weather gets colder, this is a drink I highly recommend for those who find spicy highballs too chilling. Unlike typical hot whiskey drinks, at Salon de Shimaji, we add black pepper at the end, just like with our spicy highballs. In a spicy highball, the black pepper floats to the surface due to the carbonation, but with hot whiskey, it sinks to the bottom, spreading the Talisker flavor from the bottom of the glass."
Hot whiskey is available for the same price as a spicy highball, 864 yen per glass.

On the hot whiskey autograph board that Mr. Shimaji wrote, it says "Gobra" after "Sláintebá". Do you know what this means?
As you all know, "Sláintevar" means "To your health," but "Gobra" apparently means "To your success." At Scottish weddings, the toast is "Sláintevar! Gobra!"

Shimaji: "It warms you up from the inside out, and you can get pleasantly drunk. When your body warms up, you feel more energetic, and the alcohol tastes even better. After all, being energetic is justice."

The fact that Ms. Shimaji is able to work as a bartender at the salon, and that you all are able to visit the salon so frequently, is all thanks to your good health!

This week's quote
"Positive spirit is justice."

This week's alcohol
"Talisker Hot Whiskey"
Diluting it with hot water brings out Talisker's unique flavor, making it an addictive drink. Please give it a try!
