Cifonelli , a prestigious Parisian tailor founded in 1880, will be holding a fitting event at the Made to Measure section on the 5th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building on Sunday, October 1st. Lorenzo Cifonelli, the fourth-generation owner and head cutter of the tailoring company, will be present to personally listen to customers' requests and provide advice on style and fabrics, as well as taking their measurements.

The concave shoulder line, the unique curves of the lapels and sleeves, and the overall rounded shape create a sharp, three-dimensional feel.

Cifonelli , whose clientele includes celebrities from all walks of life, was founded in Rome by the first generation. The second generation, who learned tailoring techniques in England, opened a shop in Paris, and the fourth generation, who inherited the sartorial skills from the third generation, who was hailed as a maestro, now leads a team of skilled craftsmen.

This tailor, praised for its "golden balance" and "pinnacle of European elegance," skillfully blends Italian sophistication, British refinement, and Parisian sophistication. Their motto is to create elegant clothing that is both comfortable and free, characterized by a flowing line from the neck to the shoulders and a slightly puffed sleeve head. The appeal also lies in the incorporation of advanced techniques in the details, such as the "whiskers" where the outer fabric wraps around to the underside of the collar, and the technique of adjusting the alignment of the fabric and interlining by hand-stitching.
