Ryo Inami, the buyer in charge of men's bags, explained, "Sacoches are items with a sporty origin and are often seen in outdoor brands, but there are few sacoches from the bag brands that we carry at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . So we asked each brand to incorporate their own brand identity into the sacoche, including the materials, design details, and functionality that they excel at."


A sacoche is described as "simpler and more compact than a shoulder bag, worn close to the body in front," and its appeal lies in being able to carry only the bare essentials while keeping both hands free. "Collection brands and popular fashion houses are incorporating it as part of their styling, so it's also attracting attention as a fashion item, and there's an interpretation that it's 'a bag that becomes one with the body and styling.' Also, in the coming seasons, it can be used as an accent piece by wearing an outer garment over it, making it a 'wearable bag'," says Inami.

Even people who wear suits or jackets are looking for a sacoche bag that suits their dressy style, because "putting things in your pants pockets ruins the silhouette."
