Q. Are there any tips for caring for hats?

A. The basics are brushing. Make sure to take care of your teeth every day.

Leaving items dirty with sweat and sebum can cause stains and discoloration. The key to enjoying your items for a long time is to take good care of them at the end of each day. Let's start doing this today!

Panama hats and felt hats
1. Thoroughly remove any dust from the surface with a soft hat brush.
2. Wipe away any sweat stains on the inside of the lining with a cloth that has been soaked in lukewarm water and wrung out well.
3. Next, wipe off any remaining moisture from the inner lining with a dry cloth and air dry it in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
*Light stains can sometimes be removed by gently rubbing with a clean eraser while holding your hand against the back of the hat. Depending on the material and shape, the stain may worsen. Please test on an inconspicuous area such as the inside of the hat beforehand.

Hats made of cotton or synthetic fibers

1. Gently wash by hand in plenty of water with a mild detergent dissolved in it.
2. After washing, rinse the hat thoroughly to ensure no detergent remains on the fabric.
3. Stuff a dry towel inside the hat to absorb the moisture.
4. Reshape the item and air dry it in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.

Q. Are there any precautions to take regarding storage?

A. It is important to store the hat in a way that prevents it from losing its shape.

1. Roll up a small amount of thin paper, just enough so as not to distort the shape of the hat, and place it inside the hat.
2. To prevent the hats from losing their shape, place them in a box and store them with moth repellent.
*If you do not have a dedicated box, store the hat in a place with enough space so that the brim does not get bent, and cover it with a soft cloth to prevent dust from accumulating.
