Different cutting-edge materials are used and optimized for each product, resulting in different levels of comfort.


The Cut-Off® technique leaves the edges of the fabric raw and unstitched. The waistband uses a soft, stretchy knit elastic. This is a clever design to create "stylish innerwear that won't show through outerwear." I was worried that the dark denim color might show through white pants, but that's not the case. Also, because the material is thin, the waistband doesn't feel tight.


Deoclean® is Gunze's original deodorizing technology. Antibacterial components on the fibers suppress the growth of odor-causing bacteria. Coolmake® is a high-tech cooling material composed of Skycool®UP, a fiber with contact cooling and absorption/release properties, and Ventcool®, which expands and contracts in response to sweat and moisture. I tried it with white cropped pants, and as expected, it didn't show through and wasn't see-through.




I wore the knee-length shorts (EE0207/) under my slacks from around 8 AM to 4 PM. The knee-length shorts felt smooth to the touch and I didn't notice any issues. Also, I expected to sweat around my buttocks, but I didn't feel that at all. I feel they have high sweat-wicking and quick-drying capabilities. It was a day when I felt these knee-length shorts were comfortable even in the summer.


I wore knee-length socks (EE3687D) under my suit trousers for half a day, sitting in a chair to listen to lectures and moving around in a car. I didn't feel sweaty or uncomfortable. My skin felt refreshed. I didn't feel wet with sweat, so I think they have good sweat-wicking and quick-drying properties.
