Until Saturday, May 27th, Imanishi is holding his first solo exhibition, "ISANATORI," at nca | nichido contemporary art, where he is presenting approximately 15 of his latest works, including a large 5-meter piece.
When asked what he wanted to be like in 5 or 10 years, he replied, "I don't really know what I'll be like by then. Rather than wishing for what I want to be, I want to focus on how I live in the present. I want to concentrate on what's in front of me."
Despite his cheerful smile, his bright expression suggested he was contemplating how to connect the scattered fragments of talent in the world, sometimes even feeling that he couldn't spare the time.
On the canvas of his family's long-standing tradition, what kind of brushstrokes will he use to paint with the infinite colors of his own dreams?
I look forward to their future works.
