Music closely linked to culture and fashion

When you hear the name Rolling Stones, many people will immediately think of their bright red tongue, "LIPS & TONGUE." Matsuo has specially created illustrations for this project, using this rebellious yet charming logo as her motif. Everything is hand-drawn without relying on a computer, allowing you to truly feel the sensibility of an art school graduate.

"I considered just doing it on the PC, but I wanted to express the warmth of hand-drawn art. I sketched it out in pencil and then finished it with colored pens. The use of primary colors and motifs like mushrooms are inspired by the psychedelic period in The Rolling Stones' history. We also admire the psychedelic era in rock music, and I drew this with the hope that it would encourage more young people to listen to the music of that time," (Matsuo).

The event on Friday, May 5th, will include an acoustic live performance and a talk show. "We're honored, but we might be a little nervous," the two said.

"Singing at Isetan, a hub for Japanese culture as well as fashion, is a truly unique experience. I've heard that this 'ROCK TIME LINE' event will be a mix of rock, fashion, and culture. We also create music that incorporates the spirit of the times, including culture and fashion, so I think there will be a lot of resonance. We were so happy when we received the offer. We ourselves are looking forward to seeing what kind of event it will be." (Matsuo)
