The "Premium Friday" initiative, which was recently featured in the news, was the focus of an event held here at Salon de Shimaji, aimed at helping men refine their appearance.
This course combines nail care to refine your masculinity from your fingertips with a whiskey tasting class to enjoy alcohol in style.

A scene from one day involving Ms. Shimaji and Professor Yuko Yano.

Nail artist Yuko Yano, who is also featured on Isetan Men's Net, offers a 30-minute nail care session. As Ms. Shimaji often says, "Having nice nails boosts my motivation," and it seems that the customers who received the nail care also felt their motivation increased.
Our customer was extremely satisfied, saying, "My nails are sparkling clean, and the hand massage was wonderful. I would love to come back again!"

The tasting event was a tasting session of three whiskies—Glenmorangie Original, Talisker 10 Year Old, and Ardbeg 10 Year Old—led by Robert Stockwell (aka Bob), the single malt ambassador for MHD (Moët Hennessy Diageo). Participants learned a great deal, from how to hold a glass properly to how to properly smell the aromas. Bob, who speaks fluent Japanese, delivered a fun and engaging lesson, interspersed with witty jokes.

Bob: "When you smell a whiskey, it's important to get to know it gradually, just like how people become friends step by step. It would be rude to just sniff it the moment you meet it, wouldn't it?"

Unfortunately, Ms. Shimaji was unable to attend this Premium Friday event, but we do hold events on days when she is present, so please look forward to it!

This week's quote
"Doing nail art boosts my motivation."

This week's alcohol
Talisker 10 Year Old
We usually serve it as a spicy highball, but how about trying it twice up for a change?
This is the perfect way to enjoy its rich aroma.
