Original mixtures loved by literary giants

Salon de Shimaji's bartender, Mr. Shimaji, has released "Hellenism," the pipe tobacco he has been smoking for many years!



Shimaji : "Back in the day, I used to smoke cigarettes from a high-end tobacco shop in New York and another from a high-end tobacco shop in Los Angeles, but when I was running low on both, I tried mixing them. It tasted amazing, and I've been mixing them ever since. One day, I was smoking a pipe with Kaiko-san when he said, 'Shimaji-kun! What's that lewd smell? Let me have a sip!' So I gave him some, and he said, 'It's delicious! Give me some!' So I promised to give him some for as long as I live. Then Kaiko-san named it 'Hellenism,' a fusion of East and West. What a great copywriter he is."




The renowned author Ken Kaiko apparently avoided this "Hellenism" until his death.
Then, one of the tobacco shops closed down, and Shimaji's large stock was about to run out, but once again, the power of favoritism exploded!
Thanks to Tsuge Seisakusho's efforts, we've been able to recreate "Hellenism" in German Dan tobacco!

Katsuhiko Shimaji
 Producer of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941. After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, he joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
