It was at the end of April this year that we announced the release of the 7th collaboration between MARNI and PORTER , the "Pop Collection." Now, after six months, the 8th collaboration, the "SURF COLLECTION," will finally be released on Wednesday, November 16th at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 2nd floor = International Creators.

The eighth collaboration is a new collection for “SURF LOVERS”.

This collaboration, which fuses MARNI 's unique print patterns with PORTER 's appealing functional designs, is always highly anticipated with each release. The eighth installment, "SURF COLLECTION," is a new collection for surf lovers who unconsciously find themselves thinking of the sea even while in the city.

The original print, which boldly combines borders and stripes to evoke the image of waves crashing on the shore while reflecting the color of the sky, is available in two colors: blue, reminiscent of a clear blue sea, and gray, reminiscent of a quiet and calm beach under a cloudy sky.

The collection features a wide variety of designs, and even the same product can have completely different patterns depending on where the printed fabric is cut, offering the joy of finding and discovering your own favorite pattern.

The "Helmet Bag," featuring original MARNI x PORTER details and popular since the first collection, is also available.
The slightly smaller size makes it easy to use for both men and women, and the front pocket is surprisingly spacious despite its appearance.

Pay attention to the fabric that enhances the colors and the zipper that creates a smart impression.

The eighth installment, "SURF COLLECTION," features 13 designs in total, including five new items: the first-ever drum-shaped Boston bag and backpack from the collaboration, a clutch bag that retains the details of the backpack's external pockets, a compact waist bag, and a detachable smartphone-sized pouch.

The fabric is a polyester bonding with a natural sheen and firmness, highlighting MARNI 's signature colors and color combinations. Silver-colored zippers add a casual yet smart touch. A distinctive feature is the use of Italian domestic calfskin, supplied by MARNI in Italy, for the zipper pulls and the logo plate sewn onto the front of the bag.

The first-ever collaboration designs for backpacks and duffel bags are now available.

This first-ever "2-Way Backpack" from the collaboration features a padded handle at the top, making it comfortable to carry by hand. Tape and D-rings are sewn onto the backpack's stripes, allowing you to securely attach the 2-Way Pouch from the same collection with a carabiner and tape, providing separate storage for frequently used items like smartphones.

The "2-Way Clutch Bag" retains the details of the external pockets on a backpack. It allows you to store laptops such as MacBooks in a casual yet smart way. By extending the strap on the back, it becomes a one-shoulder bag, allowing you to carry the clutch bag hands-free.

The drum-shaped Boston bag, the "2WAY Boston Bag," is also a first for this collaboration. The soft bonded material body offers ample capacity while conforming comfortably to the body, making it ideal as a sports bag for activities like surfing where you need to carry many changes of clothes. Tapes and D-rings are sewn onto both sides of the bag, allowing you to securely attach the 2WAY pouch from the same collection with carabiners and tape, providing separate storage for frequently used items like smartphones.

Additionally, it features a detachable "2-way pouch" that can be attached to the straps of a Boston bag or backpack and used as an external smartphone case. A strap handle is also sewn on for standalone use, allowing for easy and convenient carrying while protecting the easily breakable glass of your smartphone from drops.

This collaboration, which began when MARNI was drawn to PORTER 's high-quality bags, is now in its eighth installment. It looks like the collection will continue to grow.
