TOM FORD attempted a new challenge by announcing their Fall/Winter 2016 collection simultaneously with the arrival of the products.
On the same day the collection is released, Isetan Salone (1st floor of Tokyo Midtown Galleria) will be the first store to display and sell all of the men's and women's items.

The collection was unveiled in New York City, USA, on Thursday, September 8, 2016, Japan time. Isetan Salone also streamed the Fall/Winter collection presentation that took place there on the same day. Isetan Men's Net is here to give you an early look at the newly released images.

Designer Tom Ford commented on the runway show, saying, "The world has increasingly embraced the idea of 'immediate.' The current method of presenting collections requires about four months between the presentation and when the items are actually available. I felt that this was a situation that I couldn't understand as being in line with the times. I feel that we are stuck in an outdated fashion calendar and system."
Customers today want collections to be available instantly. Fashion shows, in the traditional fashion calendar format, no longer function as they once did. Fashion shows, which are fantastic fashion events but require a lot of energy and expense, still take a considerable amount of time to become available.
This situation would improve if the collection could be introduced and the collection could be acquired at the same time.
Furthermore, the excitement generated by fashion shows and events directly translates into customer satisfaction, fulfilling the true meaning of the 'Ready to Wear' business.
