MONTBLANC | Special limited edition Patron series "Peggy Guggenheim 4810" released to honor great art patrons.

The cap and body are inspired by the modern art pieces she has collected.
MONTBLANC pays tribute to individuals who have contributed to the development of culture and art by releasing a special limited-edition "Patron Series" each year, named after them. Every spring, they release a limited edition of 4,810 handcrafted writing instruments.
This spring's featured artist, Peggy Guggenheim, possessed an exceptional intuition for discovering emerging artists, supporting talented artists of her time, and dedicating herself to the advancement of contemporary art. She became an iconic figure whose name will forever be remembered.
The special limited edition Patron series "Peggy Guggenheim 4810" features a design that encapsulates her aesthetic sense and glamorous lifestyle, with a linear cap and body inspired by the modern art pieces she collected, especially Art Deco works; a cap ring shaped like the lion's head from her Venetian home, Palazzo Vegnae dei Leoni; and a nib designed with the paw prints of her 14 Lhasa Apso dogs, which were likely the most important dogs in her life.
A rare art patron unbound by conventional wisdom.
Peggy Guggenheim, world-renowned as a "cultural heiress," was born in New York City in 1898 and was the niece of Solomon Guggenheim, the founder of the Guggenheim Museum. She lived a life of economic independence in the world of culture and art, unbound by existing conventions.
She introduced the work of many young artists in Europe and America, and with her support, these artists achieved early success, many of whom became renowned artists of the 20th century.
She not only introduced Kandinsky's work to England for the first time, but was also one of the first to admire Jackson Pollock. Just 10 years after entering the art world, she had solidified her position as one of the most important American patrons and collectors of European avant-garde art.
