Yohji Yamamoto will open a pop-up store at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1F = Promotion area from Wednesday, March 30th to Tuesday, April 12th.
This store expresses the ever-evolving Yohji Yamamoto through keywords such as fashion, art, and music, and will primarily feature Mitsukoshi Isetan exclusive and pre-release items born from those keywords.

The second installment of our archive collection is now on sale.

Following the success of its first release in October, Yohji Yamamoto Replica returns for its second installment. This time, the collection focuses on the oversized white shirt, one of the key items from the 1994 Spring/Summer collection's theme, "Scarecrow," reviving the style of wearing a loosely silhouetted shirt untucked. By using "Mayomi*", a natural material featured by Mitsukoshi Isetan, the capsule collection has a supple and cool impression, as if it is filled with air.
* "Mayo-myo" is a new material that revives the hemp cloth that has been used in Japan since ancient times. Compared to cotton, it is quick-drying, has high heat retention, is highly durable, and becomes softer and more comfortable with repeated wear.

Clutch bags: ¥32,400 each

We will also be introducing limited-edition collaborative items with artists who have close ties with Yohji Yamamoto.

This foldable clutch bag, featuring a rich, layered acrylic abstract print, is a collaboration with artist Yuka Asakura, whose work is also a key visual for the Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Items from the Autumn/Winter 2016 collection will also be available for pre-sale, including a T-shirt (pictured below) printed with a skull drawing modeled after Yohji Yamamoto. Additionally, objects created by remake artist Yuta Hosokawa using archive collection fabrics from Yohji Yamamoto will be available for a limited time.

Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1st floor promotion area, during the event period, you can experience music performed by Yohji Yamamoto himself, as well as music from the 16SS collection runway show. In addition, the first 200 customers who spend over 10,800 yen during the period will receive an original soundtrack as a gift. Popular collaboration items with New Era, art books, perfumes, eyewear, silver jewelry, and other miscellaneous items not usually available will also be introduced for a limited time.

Yoji Yamamoto
Founded in 1972, Y's made its debut at Paris Fashion Week in 1981, creating a sensation with its "shock of black." While receiving both praise and criticism, its rebellious spirit, unaffected by trends, revolutionized the fashion industry. In 2002, he became the creative director of YY-3. He continues to be active in a wide range of fields, including designing costumes for films by directors such as Wim Wenders and Takeshi Kitano, as well as for Wagner operas and the Pina Bausch Dance Company. He received the French Order of Arts "Chevalier" in 1994, the French National Order of Merit "Officier" in 2005, and the "Commander" in 2011.
