Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , is hosting "Gearlist," an event featuring only simple yet high-tech, advanced functional wear, until March 1st. Functional items, such as outdoor and sportswear, are often too high-spec for urban life and are not fully utilized. The event proposes "Gearlist," a style that incorporates items with convenient functions—gear elements—for urban living into urban wear. To introduce this new style, WWD Japan filmed a fashion movie showcasing a lifestyle utilizing three pieces of clothing as gear in familiar locations such as a coffee stand, a rooftop apartment, and a neighborhood park. Check out the city life of three "Gearlist" individuals.

ACRONYM jackets feature a "gravity pocket" in the sleeve that perfectly fits a smartphone. By unfastening the snap button on the inside, you can easily retrieve your phone with one hand from the cuff. The ability to grab your phone with just a flick of your sleeve, without having to fumble around in your pants or jacket pockets, feels both futuristic and urban. The jacket is made from "Performance Shell," the professional line of "GORE-TEX."


OVERTECH is a new brand directed by Tetsuo Kitahara. This stylish black poncho transforms into a tarp by unbuttoning the sides. Made with high-performance Gore-Tex material, it can be easily transformed into a simple sunshade or rain shelter by threading strings through the grommets at the four corners and tying it to a pole. You might even get a taste of the outdoors in the city!


ISAORA is an advanced sportswear brand from New York. It blends the functionality of sportswear with urban minimalism. The down-filled jacket, with its reduced bulk, boasts excellent water repellency. It's a futuristic coach jacket that you don't have to worry about, whether it's sudden rain or wind, or even if you spill water from a water bottle.
