"Isetan is mine!" Lupin and his gang arrive.

A mysterious incident has occurred at the event hall on the 7th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Store, where Isetan's treasures have gone missing! A message card reading "Lupin has arrived" was left at the scene, and the investigation is proceeding on the assumption that it is the work of Lupin and his gang. Inspector Zenigata is baffled, saying, "They should be in Italy. Why are they in Japan now?!"

Actually, Lupin and his gang are important customers of Isetan. Thanks to that connection, this exhibition was made possible. Perhaps this is Lupin's way of celebrating Isetan's 130th anniversary? You can see various traces of Lupin and his gang, including the display case that contained the treasure, at the venue.

What is "Lupin III"?

Based on the hard-boiled action manga by Monkey Punch, it was serialized in "Manga Action" from 1967 to 1969. In 1971, it premiered as a television anime series. Since then, it has been adapted into numerous television series and films, growing into a beloved Japanese animation series enjoyed by generations.
In October 2015, the fourth TV series began airing, the first in approximately 30 years. It garnered attention for its introduction of new characters alongside Lupin and his gang, and for setting the story in San Marino, Italy. Now in its second season, the series is gaining even more momentum.


Why are Lupin and his gang so cool?

They continue to appear cool across generations. Hard-boiled, dandy, and sometimes playful... these are essential elements of a stylish man.
We believe that their very way of life, not just their fashion and lifestyle, embodies what we consider to be the ideal "dandy." To express this fashion and lifestyle at Isetan, we commissioned Japan's finest tailors for the clothing and up-and-coming kimono brands for the kimonos. It's not just fashion! We also have a wide range of collaborations with food and merchandise!
At the venue, there will be a café corner where barista Takayuki Ishitani, who is active in Japan, will brew coffee for you to enjoy. You can also enjoy a playful cup of coffee. On the 7th floor of the main building, the market restaurant "AGIO" will be serving a large plate of spaghetti based on the spaghetti that Lupin and Jigen fought over in the classic movie. In addition, a variety of other character-themed dishes will be available.

Furthermore, there will be a red wine made with wine brewed in the Republic of San Marino, the setting of the new TV series, and featuring a design label exclusive to the venue. In collaboration with Kyogen, a company rooted in heraldic painting who takes on innovative creations, there will be thin-walled glasses fused with family crests inspired by each character, and many other special items that can only be obtained here.

The event will feature a giclée print of the key visual for the new TV series, signed by the original author Monkey Punch, as well as a talk show with director Tomonaga and producer Joen . Furthermore, during the event period, there will be in-store announcements by the star-studded voice cast, and an exhibition of Lupin's beloved Fiat (at the main entrance Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building ), making it an event where you can fully enjoy the world of Lupin III through the unique perspective of Isetan.
