Lucien Pellat-Finet's signature Skull motif is now available as a neo-silk print.
From Wednesday, December 16th to Friday, December 25th, Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building Pellat-Finet will be exhibiting and selling four of the brand's first-ever skull-motif art posters, limited to 20 copies each, at their pop-up shop on the 2nd floor of the Men's Building at Isetan Shinjuku Store. The art posters feature four skull motifs used on the cover of the art book "SKULL STYLE: Skulls in contemporary Art and Design," released in 2011. Only 20 copies each of the B4 size posters are available, and B3 size posters can also be reserved during the event period.
This Lucien Pellat-Finet art poster was printed using a neo-silk printing technique that combines giclée printing and silkscreen printing, in collaboration with 360° GRAPHICS, a leading silkscreen printing studio in Japan.
Neo-Silk printing uses pigment inks to create durable giclée prints, and then applies a silkscreen print on top of that to prevent color degradation and create a variety of special effects. This is a printing technology that Japan is proud of, and its reputation in the art world has been growing worldwide in recent years.

360° GRAPHICS
Yutaka Itami, who heads 360° GRAPHICS, is himself a contemporary artist and one of Japan's leading silkscreen printing artists. He has produced prints for leading Japanese artists such as Yoko Ono, Tadanori Yokoo, Yayoi Kusama, and Daido Moriyama, and in particular, his neo-silkscreen prints of Keiichi Tanatsuna, created in collaboration with Lucien Pellat-Finet, have recently gained high acclaim overseas. Furthermore, the solo exhibition "WERK: WE WORK TOGETHER" held at Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore in November 2014 by Singaporean art director Theseus Chan, also known for his collaborations with Comme des Garçons, was composed of neo-silkscreen prints by 360° GRAPHICS and attracted considerable attention.
