"Japan Senses," a four-year project launched in 2011 by Isetan, aims to rediscover the value created by Japanese tradition, culture, and aesthetics, and to highlight the creators behind them. On each floor of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , we will introduce creations that embody traditional Japanese techniques and new sensibilities.


Based in Sunagawa, Hokkaido, SOMÈS SADDLE inherits the pioneering skills and wisdom, and continues to learn the spirit of creating "authentic" products, embodying meticulous craftsmanship. As Japan's only saddle manufacturer that has consistently adhered to handmade production since its founding, SOMÈS SADDLE aims to create leather products for saddles and bags that are not merely "tools," but products that become more cherished over time, handling everything from planning and manufacturing to sales and repairs.


At this special order event, we will be offering three models, including the Dalles bag, which has been a long-time favorite since the company's founding, in special versions. You can create your own special model using our standard bridle leather or carefully selected domestic vegetable-tanned leather. Once you hold it in your hands, you will feel the craftsmanship inherent in a "genuine" product created using the finest materials. In addition, on both Saturday, October 31st and Sunday, November 1st, during the order event, there will be demonstrations of bag making by our craftsmen.
