"Japan Senses," a four-year project launched in 2011 by Isetan, aims to rediscover the value created by Japanese tradition, culture, and aesthetics, and to highlight the creators behind them. On each floor of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , we will introduce creations that embody traditional Japanese techniques and new sensibilities.

Grosswald has been creating "bags that can be cherished for many years" by utilizing the skilled techniques and experience of craftsmen who have been involved in bag making for over half a century, and by using carefully selected materials.
Rather than mass-produced bags that simply follow trends, this brand conveys an essential message about bags through techniques cultivated over generations. A pop-up event for this brand will be held for a limited time at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building B1F, Bags. During the event, new colors of the brand's highly acclaimed signature model, the 'RTB-1/RTB-2', which is made entirely of leather, will be available for pre-sale at Isetan Men's. In addition, other popular models will be gathered together to coincide with the pop-up. Please enjoy the world of Grosswald, Japanese-made bags that utilize the skills of Japan's proud master craftsmen.


The 'RTB-1' is a tote bag meticulously crafted by skilled artisans, using deadstock hardware and paying attention to every detail. It is made without polyethylene or synthetic adhesives so that it can be repaired multiple times. The opening has a flap that can be secured with a button, making it suitable for light rain or snow.


The RTB-1 Leather, an all-leather model based on the RTB-1, uses luxurious vegetable-tanned leather, giving it a substantial feel and allowing you to enjoy the superb aging process.

The 'RTB-2' is a backpack type, following the 'RTB-1' tote bag. The belt can be stored in the back, making it a 2-way design that can also be used as a briefcase. The inside of the belt uses a special cushioning material made of compressed wool, which will conform to your body as you use it, resulting in a soft and comfortable carrying experience.


The RTB-2 Leather, an all-leather model based on the RTB-2, is a luxurious model that uses vegetable-tanned leather for both the outer and inner materials.
