MIHARAYASUHIRO's annual pop-up promotion will be held at the International Creators section on the 2nd floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . The latest collection, including items exclusive to Isetan Men's, will be on display. The event will run from Wednesday, August 26th to Tuesday, September 1st.


The theme for the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter men's collection is "Be Here Now." Designer Yasuhiro Mihara re-examined his roots and, with a determination to move forward, drew inspiration from the book "Be Here Now" by American philosopher Ram Dass, incorporating the style of early 20th-century hobos as one of its expressions.
Inspired by the image of a hobo who travels and works from place to place, the collection incorporates the names of various locations across America into photo jacquard fabrics, as well as patchwork using denim herringbone and jacquard, and clothing and shoes with twisted details. Patchwork coats and blousons, and MA-1 blousons and denim blousons with meticulous attention to detail, such as offsetting the details on the left and right sides. This collection focuses on the processing and techniques that MIHARAYASHUHIRO excels at, pursuing the beauty of "imperfection." This collection, which strongly evokes Mihara's own origins and future progress, is a fitting new beginning for MIHARAYASHUHIRO.


The "PATCHWORK JACQUARD COAT" is a key item that symbolizes this season. It's not actually a patchwork that's sewn together, but rather expressed through a multi-layered weave. The textile design isn't just simple patchwork either; it incorporates a distressed weave developed to give the whole garment a worn look, resulting in a material that develops character the more you wear it. Even the cut threads are made to look natural, creating a textile with a lot of character. The length is set longer to match current trends. The overall form has a relaxed silhouette to give it a casual feel. By combining jacquard with a thick, sturdy cotton material, it has become a distinctly masculine and expressive item.
