Ardbeg Space Whiskey is now available at Isetan Haneda Store!

From August 25th (Tuesday) to September 1st (Tuesday), Ardbeg Space Whisky, the "first whisky to travel to space," will be available at the Isetan Haneda Store (Men's) in the Gate Lounge on the 2nd floor of Haneda Airport Domestic Terminal 1. Samples of the whisky that underwent experiments on the International Space Station will be on display for a limited time. You can also experience a futuristic and unique tasting using the mysterious "Hah" carafe that generates "mist."

Founded in 1815 on the Scottish island of Islay, Ardbeg began a space experiment in 2012 aboard the International Space Station (ISS), becoming "the first whisky to travel to space." The project involved transporting molecules extracted from Ardbeg whisky and pieces of charred barrel wood to the ISS aboard a rocket, observing the whisky's maturation process in a weightless environment. Simultaneously, the results were compared with observations conducted at distilleries on Earth and research facilities to unravel the effects of gravity on whisky barrel aging. After completing this mission, Ardbeg returned to Earth and has been holding celebratory events around the world.


In addition, a pop-up bar will be open at "B Bar" inside the store from August 25th (Tuesday) to September 30th (Wednesday).
