This new brand, exclusive to Mitsukoshi Isetan, debuted in Spring/Summer 2017. Its brand theme is "Emon," which refers to the proper way to wear traditional Japanese clothing, ensuring it maintains its shape and prevents it from becoming disheveled. Based on the "English Drape" style of the 1930s, when the suit was perfected, the brand features soft lapels and fronts with a single layer of interlining, a rounded silhouette reminiscent of traditional Japanese clothing where the fabric drapes over the body, and a soft, comfortable shoulder area made only with thin felt, eliminating padding. The brand offers suits that are meticulously "Made in Japan," from the fabric to the sewing.
