As spring gradually approaches in February, they introduce their "Top 4: New items purchased this season, and items they are hoping to acquire."

Two members of Isetan Men's, who are "fashion connoisseurs" with extensive experience selling and purchasing various designer brands both domestically and internationally, reveal their personal favorite spring/summer items.

Sonobe: "My Top 4 Spring/Summer 2023 New Arrivals"

I resonate with their philosophy of not pandering to societal trends. Spring Leather

"I'm the type of person who thinks things through quite a bit before shopping, but I fell completely in love with this leather jacket at first sight at the exhibition. The key point is the color. Leather is something you enjoy as it ages, with the pigment gradually wearing off and the underlying dye being exposed, but I was drawn to the fact that it already has character even when it's brand new. I already own a slim-fitting biker jacket, but right now I'm in the mood for this sports jacket type. I want to wear it with wide-leg straight slacks for a chic and clean look. It was a big purchase for me in my twenties, but I feel that there's a growing trend for leather items this season, so I'd be happy if wearing it myself could be a conversation starter with customers."

I like unique items. My favorite is a smock.

"This is an item I considered buying, but ultimately decided against, after much deliberation, alongside OUAT OFFICE JACKET I introduced earlier. As someone who loves and owns many unique items like overalls and sheer fabrics, I'm a big fan of smocks. This particular one is appealing for its generous volume and distinctive silhouette, which adds variety to often monotonous spring and summer outfits. It was also well-received at our self-organized event , 'TIMELESS,' which was held at the men's department until recently."

Feeling like trying something new? Synthetic pants for a fashionable look.

"My wardrobe mostly consists of wool slacks, but this season I wanted to try synthetic pants made of nylon and other materials, so I bought a pair of pants from Omar Afridi . This brand is based in London and features collections created by two Japanese designers, and I'm keeping an eye on it because both the clothes and the visuals and other creative aspects are cool."
It's hard to tell from this image, but the pants have a slim silhouette, and now that the loose silhouette trend has calmed down, I want to pair them with a tight top and delicate boots. I usually only wear leather shoes. I've never felt comfortable in sneakers since my student days... This is the third season that Omar Afridi has been available in the men's department. White track pants for those who want to enjoy the "incongruity of top and bottom."

"TTT MSW is a street brand from Tokyo, and the subname "MSW" stands for Modern Streetwear. It's a brand I've been interested in for a while, and I've visited their exhibitions several times. They offer high-quality clothing that is genreless, genderless, and borderless, and these pants also use a high-quality 3-layer material with a cotton-like outer fabric as the base."
What I liked most was the color. I don't own any white pants, but I deliberately chose something I wouldn't normally pick. In spring and summer, I want to enjoy the 'mismatch' between the top and bottom by pairing them with a jacket or other dressy tops and leather shoes.

Ishida: "My Top 4 Spring/Summer 2023 Collections"

"I've been buying from YOKE for about three seasons now, and for spring/summer I picked this cardigan with a gradient print. I'm drawn to the pale gradient colors and the slightly oversized silhouette, and I think it can be used in a variety of styles. I think I can wear it throughout the season, like over a shirt in spring and with a T-shirt in early summer."

A one-of-a-kind PRADA knit I found at the flagship store in Milan.

"This is a one-of-a-kind pullover knit I found at the flagship store in Milan, Italy, back in January. Apparently, they occasionally feature special, one-of-a-kind items at the flagship store. The size was perfect, and I fell in love with it at first sight because it was a one-of-a-kind piece, and I loved the current PRADA triangle logo on the back. It's made of easy-to-coordinate medium gray Shetland wool, and I've already started wearing it a lot."
