THE RERACS is a Japanese fashion brand that offers both men's and women's wear. The designs are basic. They take classic garments such as pea coats, trench coats, and tailored jackets, add a modern touch, and rework one item each season to create contemporary pieces. They place importance on silhouettes that flatter the wearer and suit the times, and on high-quality materials that express those silhouettes. They have a strong commitment to materials, saying, "It all starts with textiles." From the more than 10,000 swatches (material samples) they have collected, they narrow down the selection to 300, 100, 50, and 30, repeating this process about four times.
