Stefano Bemer was founded in Florence, Italy in 1988 by Stefano Bemer, a leading shoemaker in Florence and known as the "magician of leather." After his death, his close friend Tommaso Melani took over the brand, continuing the tradition of hand-sewn welted shoes (su misura) and prêt-à-porter (high-end ready-to-wear shoes), while also expanding into leather sneakers in recent years, which have become popular. The brand's high-quality, classic feel and exquisite comfort, born from exceptional craftsmanship, are the result of traditional handmade techniques, and the diverse use of materials is also one of its attractions.
