JALAN SRIWIJAYA is a shoe factory founded in Indonesia in 1919 by Tede Chandra. At the time, Indonesia was a Dutch colony, so they produced military boots for foreigners. Later, the owner's son, believing that "this is an era of peace," trained in Northampton, England, a shoemaking region, and studied leather production in France, dedicating himself to making shoes using the hand-sewn welted method. In 2003, the shoe brand JALAN SRIWIJAYA was born. JALAN SRIWIJAYA has gained a reputation for its "nine-tenths finished" construction, where even the welt stitching is done by hand, with only the final outsole sewn by machine, and offers a lineup of high-quality shoes. Popular items include plain-toe shoes with a smart and sophisticated silhouette, and coin loafers that can be worn both on and off duty.
